Wonderware became a charter member of OPC Foundation in 1996 and continues to be early adopter of new OPC technology. In addition, Wonderware's Chief Technology Officer has served as Chief Architect for the OPC Foundation since June 2004.

Wonderware OPC Connectivity Solutions
- FactorySuite Gateway is a communication gateway that enables communication between traditional DDE/Suitelink, Archesta based, or OPC products. It enables traditional Wonderware software products to be OPC clients or servers
- OPC Client Proxy Object enables Archestra based Industrial Application Server to be an OPC client and communicate with other third-party OPC server applications
- Wonderware DA Servers and DI Objects have built in OPC-DA server capabilities to communicate with other OPC clients.
FactorySuite Gateway
Wonderware's FactorySuite Gateway product enables Wonderware products to act as OPC clients or servers, facilitating connectivity to virtually any OPC software application. FactorySuite Gateway is a protocol converter that allows the exchange of data between DDE, SuiteLink, OPC or IAS data sources and the latest client applications.

OPC Client Proxy for Archestra-Based Applications
A Proxy Object is an automation object within the Archestra Application Server environment that enables connectivity from just about any HMI or system with IAS. With OPC client Proxy objects, an IAS user can seamlessly connect to other plant automation systems from multiple vendors into one centralized database. This Proxy Object enables IAS to be an OPC Client and access any third-party OPC server applications.

OPC Browser
The OPCBrowse function within the Wonderware Industrial Application Server and InTouch® HMI facilitates remote browsing of OPC-enabled DA Server namespaces and OPC communications over networks.
OPC tag Creator
To simplify the process of importing tags into the InTouch HMI, Wonderware now offers a free DLL (Dynamic Link Library) named OPC TagCreator. Once installed within the InTouch HMI's WindowMaker™ graphical editing program, the OPC TagCreator enables InTouch users to browse the tags within DA Servers and then populate them into the InTouch Tagname Dictionary.
