Certification Earns Prestige and Customers for Companies, and Current Product Knowledge for Individual Developers
The Wonderware Certification Program involves solution provider companies as a whole as well as the individual developers working for those companies. A prescribed number of developers must complete and pass certain product examinations before the company can achieve "certified" status. Developers acquire skills using the most current product versions and the latest technology.
Certification on Wonderware products and ArchestrA® technology attracts potential customers that will only hire solution providers who have earned prestige through a structured certification program. In today’s competitive marketplace, some companies will only hire individuals and companies that have been validated by passing official standardized tests.
When plant owners and end-users evaluate potential solution providers for their automation projects, they must carefully weigh the technical capabilities of the firms being considered. Therefore, solution provider companies must carefully nurture the resource talent pool that gives them a competitive edge in delivering successful projects. Wonderware Releases Industrial Application Server Runtime License for Single-Node Implementation
Wonderware recently released an enhanced version of its Industrial Application Server for single-node environments. It's called the Industrial Application Server Runtime License for Single-Node Implementation. This new version is designed specifically for VARs and OEMs.
The single-node solution enables VARs and OEMs such as machine and skid builders to take advantage of the ArchestrA architecture's benefits without having to install and support a network of PCs. These benefits include lower cost of implementation because engineering costs are reduced through the use of template libraries.

Wonderware Adds New Thin Client and Box PC to Line of Industrial Computers
Recently, Wonderware introduced two new Industrial Computers to its bundled hardware and HMI software product family. The new Thin Client Computer and Box PC industrial systems offer a convenient, cost-effective, bundled package that's ready to use out of the box. These products are ideal replacements for proprietary operator panels, providing users with a unified software platform from HMI to operator interface.
Wonderware Box PC – Designed for installation in rugged environments, the Wonderware Box PC is a fanless, dust-protected computer that will operate with most commercially available display units. The Box PC can be used with specialty or remote displays to provide maximum configuration flexibility. It can also operate as a workstation in the plant for visualization, monitoring and controlling machines and processes. The system comes bundled with Wonderware’s InTouch® human-machine interface and pre-installed with ActiveFactory™ trending and analysis software.
Wonderware Thin Client Computer – The Wonderware Thin Client Computer is a cost-effective solution for client/server architectures. It is well-suited for customers who want either an ACP ThinManager-ready thin client or a standard Microsoft RDP-based thin client. It comes bundled with a single InTouch for Terminal Services session license, making it ready to use out of the box. The Wonderware Thin Client Computer is a compact, lightweight and robust industrial computer that is compatible with a variety of display units.
