Compact Panels Run Microsoft Windows CE v6.0 software   

The new panels are the entry point to the latest integrated and scalable Wonderware HMI and SCADA software solutions that can manage a single machine, production line, complete plant or a customer's entire automation and information enterprise.   

Wonderware Compact Panels are an ideal alternative to standalone, proprietary operator interface panels.  The panels combine robust hardware with powerful Wonderware human-machine interface (HMI) software to provide a comprehensive solution for supervising and managing industrial and manufacturing operations.    The new Wonderware Compact Panel computers offer superior ease of installation and a competitive entry-level price point by bundling a subset of the latest HMI runtime functionality of InTouch 10.0 software with rugged, industrial touch-screen operator panels running Microsoft Windows CE v6.0 software.

Wonderware Operator Interface Computers (OIC) are essentially the same hardware as the Wonderware Compact Panels.  However, the Operator Interface Computers are offered in 10" and 15" screen sizes, come with preinstalled Microsoft Windows XP, have full InTouch 10.0 software capability, are upgradeable to 60K tags, and are ArchestrA ready. 

Also targeted to OEMs, Machine Builders, and large end users, the Wonderware OICs fill the product gap between Compact Panels and Touch Panel Computers.

Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys, today announced the integration of i.LON SmartServer from Echelon Corp. of San Jose, Calif. with Wonderware System Platform 3.0 software. 

Echelon, a leading provider of networking technology, worked in conjunction with Munich Software in Germany to develop a technology interface.  The interface enables the Wonderware and Echelon applications to work in conjunction to address energy conservation management activities across a wide range of commercial and industrial facilities.

The new Track & Trace QuickStart has just been posted on the technical support web site, available for download by customers holding a valid support contract.  

The Track & Trace QuickStart demonstrates how you can apply the Equipment Operation Module in a process manufacturing scenario that includes receiving, moving, processing, and shipping material inventory, where these transactions are recorded as production events. The Track & Trace QuickStart supports a product recall initiative, where information that leads to a possible product recall can come from one of three sources: a customer complaint, a vendors warning or from internal discoveries.  

This QuickStart is a simple and tangible example of the usefulness of the Equipment Operations Module, to help our customers solve day to day issues. It uses Equipment Operations Module 2.1, System Platform 3.0 and InTouch 10.0 software.  It also includes pre-defined objects for logging transactions (Receive, Move, Process, and Ship) as well as pre-defined reports in Wonderware Information Server portal so that you can access content recording in the production database.  

QuickStarts are working applications that demonstrate the flexibility of Wonderware software. They show you how to assemble specific Wonderware components to deliver some of the most commonly requested functionality. Since you can implement Wonderware components in many ways to accomplish a wide variety of tasks in the production and performance areas of plant management, future efforts will be directed towards the development of IndustryPacks, which will address more specific needs and requirements in a selected industry.
